WHO IS Ella Paton Illustrates?
I am an Illustration graduate who loves working in pencil and watercolour, I have worked in Editorial and Children's Illustration. Aspiring picture book Illustrator in both fiction and non-fiction.
I completed a degree in Illustration at Falmouth College of Art in Cornwall and specialised in children's illustration.

I went into teaching and became Leader of Graphic Communication in a large outer London Secondary and Alevel school. I loved encouraging my students to find their own voice, aesthetic and path and seeing students grow in self confidence was wonderful.
I had my first daughter in 2016 and I painted animal watercolours to decorate her room. I had such an amazing reaction to these paintings that I realised that I had an opportunity whilst on mat leave to realise a dream to set up my own business and give illustration another go!

I had my second daughter in 2018 and I currently sell prints of my animal paintings on Etsy and take custom requests for Nursery Decor as well as editorial Illustration.

I am working on Picture Book projects with writers currently and have dreams of writing my own book in the future
